Barramundi is a freshwater fish species found in tropical regions. It is a fish that inhabits in a wide variety of habitats such as rivers, creeks and mangrove bays. The most common habitats are in rivers and creeks with large catchments with water temperatures above 20°C. They are species that grow to maturity in the upper reaches of freshwater rivers and streams and adults move downstream.
